Catch 22 (Academic Live Partner)
Crafted an impactful measurement tool for Catch 22, a nonprofit dedicated to providing rehabilitative services for individuals on probation. The project involved in-depth research on the UK criminal justice and probation systems, alongside a comprehensive understanding of Catch22's operations. Collaborating closely with practitioners and service users, a set of indicators to capture progress towards better wellbeing were designed, integrating practitioner interactions and tacit knowledge. This was done with research based evidence stating that progress towards improved well-being serves as a positive indicator of reduced likelihood for reoffense.
This collaborative effort showcased a range of skills including stakeholder engagement, primary research, tool development, co-design, data visualization, and strategic support. Through testing and prototyping, the tool received positive feedback, demonstrating tangible improvements in reducing complexity, enhancing feedback capture, and increasing service user engagement.
Furthermore, the tool provided valuable statistics for management to report to the Ministry of Justice, facilitating continued funding. Currently undergoing pilot testing, the impact measurement tool stands as a testament to Catch 22's commitment to evidence-based practice and continual improvement in their mission to rehabilitate and support individuals in need.
